
The new hotel site is less than a mile from Nokomis Beach.
The commercial property, which sold for $2.2 million, was purchased by Casey Key Hospitality LLC. Finergy Nokomis LLC was the seller. Dennis Dahm, an agent with the commercial division of Michael Saunders & Company, represented both sides of the transaction. The buyers are also the principles behind the new Hotel Sarasota which will be built on Palm Avenue—adjacent to the Palm Avenue Garage and Sarasota Opera House—in downtown Sarasota. Demolition and site preparation for the hotel is currently underway.
