Sarasota Gets a New Slice
Set to open in February or March of 2018, Mellow Mushroom will occupy the space at 6727 S. Tamiami Trail. The Sarasota location will be the first Mellow Mushroom on Florida’s West Coast south of Tampa. The restaurant will serve up hand-tossed, stone-baked pizza with a focus on fresh ingredients, and will be accompanied by craft beer and cocktails. Speaking about the restaurant’s hip aesthetic, owner Karen Atwood said “We chose to go with a nod to 1960s Sarasota — we’re bringing in a lot of architecture, going with the mid-century modern theme.” Pizza, Burgers & Tacos - Oh My!
Located on Main Street in downtown Sarasota, PBnT is a fast-casual restaurant offering America’s favorite foods all under one roof. The trendy new spot, owned by the team who brought us Duval’s on Main, opened in early November. The only one of its kind in the United States, you’ll find a menu item dubbed “The American Dream” with all three of their specialties — pizza, burgers and tacos! Also brought to us by the team behind Duval’s, Element is presented as a Mediterranean-inspired steakhouse offering fine dining for special occasions. Chef Nils Tarantik said “Our riffs on classic Mediterranean favorites, along with our superb wine and craft cocktail offerings, will entertain the eye, entice the palate, and amaze minds of all of our guests.” The restaurant is now open on Main Street in downtown Sarasota.
