Michael Saunders & Company Welcomes Cathy McCann as New Commercial Property Manager

SARASOTA, FL (December 12, 2024)—Michael Saunders & Company is pleased to announce Cathy McCann as the new Property Manager for its commercial properties. She will assume her new role following Bob Smith's retirement at the end of the year. With a distinguished career spanning nearly 25 years in commercial property management, Cathy brings extensive expertise and a track record of success to the position. Cathy’s impressive career includes managing multi-tenant commercial properties and complex portfolios across multiple states. Most recently, she served as Regional Property Manager at Gator Investments and Development, overseeing approximately 1.5 million square feet of retail space in Florida and five additional centers in Minnesota and Nevada. In this role, she excelled in managing property finances, operations, and tenant relationships while implementing cost-saving preventative maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with all building codes and ordinances. Previously, Cathy held leadership roles at Vereit, Inc./CIM in Orlando, where she managed over 2 million square feet of retail space across North Carolina and Tennessee. Her extensive experience includes commercial leasing, budgeting and forecasting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors to maintain the highest standards of property management. Known for her exceptional problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and commitment to building strong, lasting relationships with tenants, owners, and contractors, Cathy is dedicated to continuing the exceptional service that Michael Saunders & Company clients have come to expect.
