Joanne Hammar is an amazing person with excellent communication skills and dedication to her profession in home sales. We were Blessed to have Joanne list and sell our home, which sold on the first day on the market! Knowing Joanne Hammar is like also knowing her wonderful husband Jim Hammar, as we believe when you ask for Joanne's expertise you get a double Blessing because Jim's expertise is also right there too. That's an amazing combination of trust for us! Our home presented several long months of continued challenges due to rebuilding of the condo (after a fire) and us living 1300 miles away. Joanne was like a breath of fresh air, as she took on all challenges and excelled in every category. We were so well taken care of, that any person would have thought we were immediate family. Joanne's attention to every little detail is beyond words. Joanne was challenged and fighting in our corner (with the renovation company) on a daily basis. She watched over our home and always put our interests first… for that we can't thank her enough. Joanne and Jim Hammar truly went over the top and well beyond any person could have ever prayed for. The day we sold our home and they both called…. we had goose bumps not just for selling, but also how genuinely happy they were for us and everything we all went through. We forgot to mention that Maurice was kind and patient with us and very supportive during a very difficult time especially during Sue's illness. He always responded to our concerns in a timely manner. Maurice even went out of his way to send us the closing papers from when we purchased the unit in 2001. Our Cincinnati Realtor recommended Michael Saunders & Co. to help us find our retirement home in Florida. They specifically recommended Reatha. It is difficult to blindly trust any business when making arrangements from out of town. When we first talked to Reatha, she was such a pleasant surprise. She was very knowledgeable of our areas of interest (Sarasota, Venice, Rotonda West). We described our financial situation, our goals, and our wish list. Reatha went right to work. Based on our wants, she quickly came back with 9 houses in Rotonda West, 2 in Venice, and 2 in Sarasota. Our visit to the Florida area was going to be very short and we needed an efficient game plan to view our homes of interest. She went well above and beyond by building a notebook of home specifications, feedback from the homeowners, and they were organized by the dates we would review along with maps. This notebook was over the top. Without this, we could have never viewed so many homes in such a short period of time. I know Reatha lives a very hectic, 100 mph life, but she made us feel like her 100% attention was on us. She spent significant time educating us on our areas of interest, as well as pros and cons of those areas. Once our house was chosen and we were back in Ohio, Reatha coordinated everything, including home owners insurance, title company, and began preparing for closing. On our next visit, closing was planned and executed with no last minute frustrations or problems. This entire process was executed perfectly which has never happened to us while purchasing a new home. Thanks to Reatha, we have found our perfect home and fulfilled a dream of mine since I was a teenager. She has been much more than a realtor and we feel like we have found a friend for life. We could not be any happier with this entire experience. Thank you so much Reatha!!
