In 2016 when we mentioned to friends in Sarasota that we would like to come down for a visit and "possibly" look for a winter retreat near them, they immediately suggested that we talk to their friend Kathy a real estate agent with Michael Saunders & Company.As a very reluctant buyer, I was skeptical that we could (a) find a place that we liked and (b) enjoy the experience of purchasing a property from our home in New York. Those concerns were alleviated after ten minutes of speaking with Kathy Carbone. During that conversation she asked us what we were looking for, our needs pertaining to size, location, amenities, security, and our expectations for the process. She was thoroughly professional without being too matter of fact, and her absolute exuberance and positive attitude that finding us a place at our price point would not be a problem, but it would be her pleasure to work with us. We ultimately found our unit at Heritage Oaks after numerous open houses and an interesting negotiation. My wife and I found Kathy to be warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely professional during our buying experience; and she continues to stay in touch with updates and changing trends in the Sarasota real estate market. If and/or when we might decide to sell and purchase another property we will most certainly get in touch with Kathy for her help.

We had a very good experience working with Reatha Valera, Marybeth Tvaroch and Mary Jo Claudius during all process to purchase our new home in Port Charlotte, FL. We contacted Reatha and Marybeth on short notice and they responded with five home showings for our review the first day. The third property we were shown was a perfect match for our needs and we placed an offer later that day. Our offer was countered and we accepted. I write here about move #30 for me since college - so I think I know just a little about the process, and what it takes to make it work. This move was unusual, even for me, because I was trying to buy a condo in Sarasota, Florida while living 2,000 miles away in Colorado. As I could not actually get to Sarasota for various reasons, long-time friends there offered to be "surrogate buyers" for me. Well, they chose a woman named Lisa Harris. I read her biography, looked at her picture, and told my friends, "well, she has honest eyes, a lot of experience, and if you trust her judgment, fine with me." My friends and I made a good choice. Ms. Harris not only showed broad knowledge of the Sarasota market, but she listened, and only replied when she had the relevant facts at hand. To use a well-worn cliche "the bottom line" was that the usual snarls got quickly unsnarled and that I was a happy new condo owner.

My husband and I spent more than three years looking for a vacation home on Siesta Key. It was not until we met Lisa Harris from Michael Saunders that we were able to find the ideal place. We met Lisa at an open house and the next day she showed us a limited number of places based on our parameters. She did not waste our time showing us condos that were not within our budget or did not have the amenities we wanted. Within that day, we found our dream vacation home. Lisa guided us through the negotiation and once the accepted offer was locked in she took care of all the necessary paperwork to get us to our closing. Lisa and all the team members we worked with at Michael Saunders were patient and professional. With our permanent home being in New York and having to make all the final details via long distance, we feel very fortunate to have worked with such a great group of people.

Working with Patrick is a very pleasant experience. He has a relaxed demeanor, is always on time, and has great communication skills. He is patient and unassuming but ready with the answers to your questions when you have them.
