We had the great pleasure of retaining the dynamic duo of Terri Derr and Rita Holbrook for the sale of our home at Sutton Place. It was the easiest house sale we have had. Terri was immediately responsive with my many questions. Rita handled the paperwork efficiently and most of all kept our review to a minimum. Even when things were touchy on the appraisal, Terri handled things calmly and professionally. Thanks to them, we got full asking price. We would certainly use them again although we hope to never sell or buy another house.

Jonathan Fox is a gem. Jon’s advocacy, communications, and negotiating skills are impressive, as is his deep knowledge of the real estate market in Sarasota and the surrounding region. We could not have managed our successful house purchase, which was made much more challenging because of the COVID pandemic, without Jon’s guiding hand and deft support. He was our necessary “eyes and ears” on the ground because we did not travel from our home in Massachusetts to the Sarasota area until after we had completed the purchase. Such risk-taking was rather uncharacteristic of us, but we had confidence in Jon’s ability to represent us effectively and transparently…which he did! We had no intent of buying another home when we decided to enjoy the Florida weather for the winter of 2020/2021. Our plans were to rent a small condo in Nokomis as we never really spent much time on the Gulf. We thought we'd travel thru Florida and perhaps years down the road, we might settle for another place to call home. Venice grabbed our hearts. We strolled thru the Farmer's Market one Saturday in January and noticed the MSC office. The only reason that we stopped in was that we noticed Micheal Saunders's reality signs everywhere! We needed a booklet as we had no idea about the market, the area, prices, etc.. I believe the only person in the office that afternoon was Mr. Peter Mann. Peter has an amazing ability to listen. In minutes, he knew exactly what my wife and I required in yet another house. In fact, I remember him saying specific communities that he would be interested in if he were purchasing a home and one of those suggestions is where we were drawn to: Sawgrass! Peter is persistent, always available and extremely knowledgeable. He never quits. He loves his job and, more importantly, the people he meets along the way. Not only do we have a beautiful Florida home because of Peter, but my wife Susan and I have forever friends with Peter and Terry Mann.

There are far too many accolades we wish to include, in reviewing the way in which Kristina (Tina) von Kessel dealt with the sale of our home. From our first contact to the very last, there has been nothing but a level of professionalism that far surpassed any other experience we have had, in the sale of seven homes over the years.Ours was a very challenging sale, due to the fact that we were out of the country and had been so for an extended period. Additionally, we had not planned on selling our home in 2021. Thus, we left not only a home to be sold, but also all the furniture and furnishings to be dealt with. This was a daunting idea for us, but not for Tina. Tina priced our home well, focussing on positive features which set it apart from other similar homes. As our home had been empty for many months due to the pandemic, Tina ensured it was sold in the best possible condition, looking after maintenance issues that arose. This was impressive and will have us turning to Tina for future purchases. Tina was compassionate, caring, kind, thoughtful and efficient, all the while being proficient and professional. We just began the process of looking for our winter home. So far we have had a great experience with Jinny. Jinny has/had family living in a town not far from us so we had a nice conversation about that. Looking forward to working with her. We are thinking of flying down in May and will set up appointment with her for that. It is something that we really need to be there for a decision this important in our life.

John really took a personal interest in helping us find the house that was right for us. We were buying in a tight market, and he navigated us trough offer, strategizing us to make our offer as competitive as possible. His knowledge of the local real estate market is extraordinary - deep and broad. He was extremely prompt when we asked him for anything, whether showing a home, requesting information, or his opinion. John frequently helped us clarify our options, but he never pressured us in any direction. We always felt that we made good decision and that John was our knowledgeable, helpful and efficient agent.
